“On The Edge Of The City” (8″ x 8″)

Description

Mixed Media with found Rust Pieces – There’s just something about old, rusty metal.  It looks so cool.  I find the oxidized colours and shapes very interesting.  Over the years, I have collected many interesting rust pieces that I am attracted to, that have fallen off vehicles or from construction sites.  When I start the process, I gather the pieces I think might work together with the rust piece in mind and move things around on a wood panel looking at colour, value, composition and mostly texture until I am satisfied with an assemblage.
